Here Fully

Your primary purpose is to be here fully and to be total in whatever you do so that the preciousness of the moment does not become reduced to a means to an end.
Eckhart Tolle

I am reading Tolle's The Power of Now and listening to a lecture he gave on life's purpose. I breathed in fully the morning air and absorbed the Sun's light radiating on the bougainvellea. Little things can be awesome.

  1. I like Tolle, but in all honesty, when life keeps moving forward through family, work, adversity, and joy, simply being still isn’t always enough. It has its place to be sure, but…in a moving world, we must move. I’ve found Ty Clement’s “Being Ourself” to be a much bigger source of inspiration and hope. When you understand that we are all one…not just connected…but ONE thing flowing in and out of real time…things become more whole, more capable, and more honest. I guess I’m just interested in the DOING good works aspect of life…because it isn’t just about me, as Clement writes, “we are all one thing interacting with itself.” I think it’s time to get IN to life with Clement by our side as a fellow human being searching for harmony with life itself in ACTION. That’s where peace will be found; together. Our judgments of ourselves and each other begin when we forget that we are one thing or “Ourself” as Clement calls it. I feel that it is that dialectical understanding that offers a true answer for peace. Clement doesn’t profess that our struggles are all our fault, he sees that people are often the product of their traumas, but he also understands that seeing the oneness of everything soothes the soul at the core. You might want to check it out. I think there is a link at http://beingourself.blogspot.com to his webpage. He's pretty "new", but...he's gonna be huge. :o)
