It was a stunningly clear day. The light intensified the colour of the palms that swayed in the breeze.
And our new bathroom vanity is gorgeous. The black granite is stunning. Thanks to Milad the carpenter, Safwat the granite man, and Barakat the plumber (not to mention Nashat the contractor), the Time Traveller's vision has come to fruition.
The wardrobes have also been completed successfully. The clothes have been hung and tonight I can sleep in my own bed. Bliss.
Wanting a refreshing drink this afternoon, I made iced tea according to a southern belle's recipe on Mary's Deep South Dish blog. Then I followed her recipe for the spiked version after the workmen left. Whoa! Is that good! As I understand it, southerners usually serve it in quart-sized Mason jars. My constitution necessitated down-sizing. See you tomorrow! ;-)
The geckos in that bathroom get in throu the fan - maybe see if you can see a space or hole where they are getting in and plug it with tinfoil?
