I'm the first to vote for going out to a restaurant, but this year I wanted a family meal in the backyard to celebrate. It was so enjoyable sitting comfortably and chatting about life, past and present. Admittedly, fire sirens wailed on the street when the candles on the cake were lit. Seriously. Next year, no candles.
