Irish Blessing
The bougainvillea have revived! I'm delighted (and a little amazed) by all the blossoms because they were in a pretty sorry state when we returned in January. Obviously, they are hardy plants and respond well to just a little bit of loving. I've loved bougainvillea since seeing them for the first time as a 16-year-old on a trip to Italy. It was March and the highway to Naples was lined with them. "How wonderful!," I thought. Now, I experience that same pleasure every morning. Is it any wonder that I am so content just sitting on my balcony, surrounded by such beauty?
