Arrivederci Roma -- Hello Amalfitana

Arrivederci, Roma . . .
Good bye. . . au revoir . . .

I am only willing to say "Ci vediamo" / See you later to la bella citta. We have departed the most wonderful city in the world and have headed south to a land kissed by the sun and the gods.

Bro drove the infamous Amalfi coast. I will come back to fill in the details but here are a few pictures of our day yesterday.

This was a beautiful stretch break along our trip.

God help anyone who needs urgent care. The ambulance's siren was blaring but it didn't have power to move traffic. We were told that traffic was particularly bad today because high winds had cancelled all ferries between the coastal towns and so everyone was had to use buses or cars on the one main coastal road.

At the beginning of the Amalfitana Costiera I had to stop at a ceramic shop offering many beautiful hand-painted items. I came away with a few more items than the coffee cup that I planned.

We were so exhausted at the end of the day, that dinner was (good) pizza and (good) wine purchased in the town and brought back to the hotel room.
