The first half of my journey has passed quickly thanks to the lively conversations found inside a good book. From the lamplight illumining the cramped confines of an economy airline seat to that of a familiar corner in Frankfurt airport, my travel companion entertains and enlightens as books bring together a small community and lighten the hardships of war.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society has certainly lightened my journey. Onward!
