A balloon sailing past looked like a glass ornament on the palm tree.
And under the tree sugar cookies were baking in the oven, thanks to a simple recipe posted by Katy on her Food for a Hungry Soul blog and which she had found on Mimi's Kitchen blog. I think these blogs are such fun! And heartening too! Sugar cookies with extra cinnamon sprinkled on top were exactly what I needed to soothe my soul which was feeling shattered after dealing with a large rodent last night. Ugg. Just thinking about it brings back the images. Excuse me while I go grab another cookie. ;-)
