Our evening ritual involves watching the colors change and the birds fly home as the sun sets. The banana fields were inundated this afternoon and I figured that I would get a great photo of all the egrets as they lifted their large white bodies into flight for their homeward journey.
Cat and I waited . . . and waited . . . and waited.
Cat is smart and decided there is more to life than watching birds wait for bugs to surface.
I finally gave up when it became too dark for me to see the birds. I guess I got the 'night owl' group of egrets that didn't know that it was time for them to fly to their nests beside the Nile.
