Exercising My Right

Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.
Abraham Lincoln, 16th American president (1809-1865)

I have been impressed with the effort that the government has dedicated to encouraging the electorate to get off their fannies and exercise their vote. Tomorrow, the election result that I'll be most interested in is the number of people who voted. Democracy is so very precious and we need to nurture and protect it . . . blisters and all.
